General Courses: Weekend Program
XJS offers a variety of programs for students from Y2 to Y12. Subjects offered include Mathematics, English, General Ability, Science and Writing. These courses are designed to further develop and expand students’ knowledge and understanding of fundamentals in each subject area. Academic reports are regularly sent to parents.
English: For students from Y2 to Y 9
Each session covers some
· Writing Skills
· Reading Comprehension
· Vocabulary enrichment and word usage
· Grammar, punctuation and parts of speech
Math: For students from Year 2 to Year 9
Each session focuses on
· Improving students’ understanding of math’s’ principles
· Applying these principles
· Enhancing students’ problem solving skills

Intensive English Writing: For students from Y3 to Y9
Each session emphasizes
· Learning beyond the written word
· Examining structure and the organization of ideas
· Interpreting various text types
· Reasoning and critical thinking.
· Developing expression, style and mechanics
VCE English/ ESL: For students from Y10-Y12
Each session concentrates on
· Reading and Responding
· Creating and Presenting
· Using Language to Persuade
Math Methods & Specialist Mathematics: For students from Y10-Y12
Each session concentrates on
· Reviewing, reinforcing and extending on concepts taught at school
· Exposing students to vital analytical /problem-solving strategies
· Reviewing past papers and decoding examination tricks
Extension Classes (Scholarship trial exams)

· Every trial exam comes with complete performance analysis with detailed explanation for every answer. We provide you with the most authentic testing experience outside of the actual exam.
